Http://www. Myspace. Com/capashen2 note : please show me your composition when you used this sample, i would to listen it !:d. Very usefull sample for transition within two parts. To bring the chorus for example. It sounds a bit electric with an sound effect made with synth. I use it all the time hehe. Made with : white noise filtered, drum layering, big plate reverb. . . Tip : it was not very processed in order to make your own process like sidechain on reverb tail, envelope. . . . Etc.

I have built a nonlinearcircuits sloth lfo, the regular version. Sloth is a chaotic lfo. The output is based on the lorenz system. It is a system of ordinary differential equations. It is notable for having chaotic solutions for certain parameter values and initial conditions. In particular, the lorenz attractor is a set of chaotic solutions of the lorenz system which, when plotted, resemble a butterfly or figure eight (very much from wikipedia). The sloth has two outputs x and y. Think of them as coordinate pairs. The output will probably never repeat itself but there is a pattern. I have built the regular sloth it usually takes approx 15 seconds to make a rough figure 8, one cycle in the “butterly”. The knob changes the chaotic pattern. At some settings the signals will spend more time in one strange attractor than the other. Now i’m testing the module in different ways. In this sound i have connected white noise to a filter. The filter frequency is controlled by sloth (x output). In this patch i have set the initial frequency at 12 o'clock. . . The output sound from filter goes to reverb.

Audio from the artist paintpots in yellowstone. The hiss in the background is the constant float of steam from the ground along with the regular release of pockets of air from these odd little spitting mud holes. Pretty cool to see and producing a very unique sound. Not sure if it'll be useful for anything, but it was too cool to pass up. Again, sorry for the short duration; there was a lot of traffic and wind there. Recorded on a dslr and edited in audacity. Production-now. Com - shout-outs welcome.

A rumble of thunder from a storm over 50 miles away over the irish sea from an mcs during july 2016. The atmospheric conditions of that night, along with the lack of other noise allowed sounds to be heard much further than they normally would. The main reason was likely due to a strong temperature inversion close to the ground. Recorded with zoom h4n onboard mics.

A recording made in mid june of 2017 near the ohio river from the bank of rosiclare illinois. The main sound is an angry killdeer that was constantly fussing at me for being too close to her nest. You'll also hear a johnboat plowing through the river, the wind through the leaves of a huge sycamore tree and various children, low in the distance, playing on a playground on this perfect 80 degree summer day. Equipment: marantz pmd661 recorder with the audiotechnica bp4025 stereo microphone, yes, a true stereo recording. Enjoy.

This sound was recorded via the use of a behringer b2 microphone, fostex fr2 and a home made parabolic reflector made from a tv satellite dish. The source of the sound was between 100m-200m away from the microphone. This has been eq'ed with high-end shelving to reduce gain noise, low-end shelved up to 1khz (to reduce wind and background noise) and the overall gain has been increased. The bird sound on the recording, is a bird called a "nightjar" which is a nocturnal bird. If you are interested in the build of the reflector itself, i have documented it here: https://www. Youtube. Com/watch?v=jyssecw1qf0. This sound is also available to listen to on my soundcloud: https://soundcloud. Com/jonmacmusicproduction. If you use my sound in any productions could you please put a link to my free sound, sound cloud or youtube channel so it can reach others!. Thanks for listening and downloading.

The sound of rain falling interspersed with rumbles of thunder at varying volumes. A lovely, rich recording. The audio is raw, so you'll need to amplify it to suit your needs. This was recorded in-person with a tascam dr-40 stereo recorder and a faux-fur wind guard due to occasional breezes. Public domain: i have released this audio file into the public domain. It is free for anyone to download, modify, or use without my consent and without attribution - like all freesound audio files should be. Let me know if you found this sound useful. Enjoy!.

I'm attempting to create a controllable thunderstorm for a film, and this is my first legitimate attempt. This recording consists of 4 samples of rain, and another 3 samples of rain+thunder that i recorded one afternoon. Equipment used was the inbuilt mics on a roland r-26, and a sennheiser me66 into a sound devices 702. The clips were recorded at 96khz/24-bit, and they were processed at 48khz/24-bit. For processing, i put the samples into kyma, and crossfaded for texture. The howling wind sound is an analog-style low pass filter's frequency, level, and resonance being controlled by a wacom intuos4 pen/tablet. The rain slowly swells, which was done by changing parameters of a granular reverb. The thunder was also controlled by the wacom tablet, with x, y, and z (pressure) dimensions mapped to making the thunder swell in level, density, and texture. This could have been output in surround, but i don't have that many monitors ;). This style of "rain-synthesis" can also go on indefinitely. Please let me know what you think of the quality of this track; eg, if it sounds real, if the wind sounds ridiculous, too much thunder, etc. Use this sound (wherever) if you want to, or let me know if you'd like an mp3 of this, or for it to last longer. I'd like some credit if you do use it, but it's no big deal. A blog is up explaining the method of creation here:http://www. Kylehughesaudio. Com/2/post/2013/02/tempest. Html.

This clip was made because i was looking for a strong thunderstorm sound effect for a school play. I wasn't able to find one that was strong enough for what i wanted, so this. Mp3 was made in audacity from three other audio files from freesound - they are #s 27247, 2521, and 87472. This information is also in the 'comment' metadata of the mp3 file. As far as i can tell, this is the "strongest" storm available on freesound as of early february 2010. (i could be wrong of course!). If there is interest, i can upload an uncompressed aif of the audacity track (it'll take awhile) but i figured there was no point since 2/3rds of the files used were originally mp3's from here. Hope this helps someone looking for a long, strong storm with high winds, loud rain, and many thunderbolts! (the thunderbolts are duplicated throughout the file; the original file contained a much more natural and less angry storm).

It's time to go on an upload spree! i've made tons of new sounds when i wasn't uploading, and i think it's about time to share some of them with you people. :) this was really easy to make. I just stood outside for a little while, recorded the outside ambience, amplified it so it's audible, eqed it, and added some reverb to give it that stereo effect. Hopefully you enjoy this and find it useful. Have a good christmas. (or hanukkah. ).

A stereo field recording of hundreds of several species of frogs at spring in raleigh, nc. Recorded at a very large concrete stormwater retention pond. The tall concrete walls made a nice effect acoustically. There are a few other faint sounds such as my dog walking around, a bit of wind and a car door as the pond was next to a parking garage. But, the frogs definitely dominate. I recorded this with an olympus ls-11.

This one has a very vocal blackbird finishing off the evening (8pm). All recorded whilst staying in a converted barn in rhos, wales. Recorded on my zoom h4n, there maybe some wind noise in places and maybe a very high flying jet, but mostly it is just the sound of nature. There is a nearby stream in the background too. These are the original uncompressed untreated files. Hope it is useful to someone.

Recorded from my apartment, second floor. This starts with a few bolts of lightning during the end of a typical early summer afternoon and ends up on a pretty huge thunderstorm including hail. I wish i could have recorded more but the storm was getting so important, i had to close my window.

The soundscape at the bottom of the dried moat of arundel castle in late spring. There's a strong breeze running through the trees, crows calling, an aeroplane, a couple of flies buzz past. I was laying in the sunshine about 10 meters away, falling asleep :). Sound devices mixpre3 and rode svmx, bit of low cut applied (60hz, 12db/oct) and a small amount of higher frequency boost to compensate for the wind cut i had fitted.

A peaceful, droning, relaxing summer soundscape of the midwestern forest. For starters, in the background you hear a river of wind steadily swirling around the oaks, and the maples and the sycamore trees. A blessed northeast wind-friend. The insects take over, and on top of that, a single, solitary bird, i think a flycatcher, softly calls his one-note. Even though this is the time of year that the visitors, those beautiful neo-tropical migrants, fill the woods, after several months of raising of raising a family, they are quiet, resting now. . . Letting the insects signify the passage of time and the slow march to autumn. In about 6 weeks from now, most of our visitors will have left. . . Back down south, their job of raising the next crop of insect-eaters done. . . And the woods, the forest, the nearly-dry creekbed will be packing it in. Recording done on saturday july 29th, 2017 at 11:30am in the forest near a creek with sound devices 702 and a rode ntg-2 shotgun microphone pointed straight up into the trees.

This recording was made in the afternoon during a rainshower under my carport in louisiana. The rain is striking three different surfaces in this track: cement, roofing and plantlife. Now, i'm no pro, nor is my equipment (olympus ws-310m w/ built in mic), so discerning these different sounds is difficult. You can hear the dripping from rain: fast drip in the background of this track. However slight, there is also a noticeable electronic note which is simultaneous with the water striking these surfaces. You can also hear slight rustling sounds that could be wind or my shirt moving near the mic (i was wearing the device on a lanyard). The file is wav, recorded in stereo at 16 bit at 44. 1mhz.

A section of the recording at https://freesound. Org/people/nlux/sounds/620955/ re-purposed for use in the makenoise morphagene eurorack synthesizer module. A high-pitched, metal windchime, sent through some granular processing software. The reel is divided into two, long halves: one with the sound playing forwards and one with it playing in reverse. This means i can easily switch from forward to reverse without tuning issues, simply by applying cv to the morphagene's 'slide' control.

Two contact microphones recording an engine from a mini cooper s in sport mode. Surprisingly aggressive-sounding. Intended to use for a race car asset. Contact microphones are stethoscope-like mics that you place onto a surface to record vibrations. This way, i was able to record the raw engine without wind or perspective. The left channel is the chassis and the right is the engine block. . . Blending the two together produces a great sound. Free to use.

Ou can hear the audible sounds of an airplane flying above my house going west towards the beach, the airplane getting closer and closer to my house then flying away aggressively. You can hear the graceful chirping of birds, sitting on the telephone line north of my house. You can hear the swift movement of the wind moving around and blowing on the leaves of the tree west of my house in the neighbor’s yard. You can hear the movement of me walking around back and forth in my yard listening to all the sounds trying to hear them clearly. You can hear a car drive down my street going east, the car was very heavy and going very slow.

Tokyo outdoor night ambience. This is a recording of the shinagawa area of tokyo after 1:00 am. Crickets can be heard chirping in the distance, as can cars on a usually busy road. The trainstation is closed, but there is still some activity that can be heard as well as wind and other night ambient sounds. Recording was made on the 6th floor of a highrise apartment behind shinagawa station. 2 mics placed at a 120 degree angle were used. No filtering was used. The only editing done was removal of the beginning and end of this clip.

Recorded around the plantation fields of kompolt (hungary), near the plant research institute. There are long dirt roads around the area, it's a big open place, so whatever wind, breeze comes barely anything could block it. That's why sometimes the recording's quality gets bad at places. Sounds: walking on dry, solid dirt, rocky-dirt, dry grass, walking through bushy areas, concrete at the end.

Here in the midwest we were treated to a nice preview of autumn here in the northern hemisphere. Both the temperature and humidity were nicely lower than usual and this soundscape was recorded featuring the beautiful northern breezes and a few of the birds that still live here. Since this ambience was recorded during the work-week, there are hardly any man-made internal combustion engine noises. Just the wind lifting and swirling through the tired forest and the blue jays, crows and insects. Recording made at 2:30pm on september 13 2022. Equipment used: recorder-sound devices 702microphones- left channel- sennheiser mkh 416right channel - sennheiser mkh 8070. The right channel, the very low-noise direction shotgun microphone, was pointed just about straight up at the leaves and branches of a huge cottonwood tree whose dry leaves were putting on a show. Hope you can hear this. Recorded and edited in stereo so either good studio monitors or headphones will make you feel you are in the forest surrounded by the gentle breezes swirling through oaks and cottonwood trees and insects and birds.

I just love this deep rich harmonic sound with some phase modulation! i've tried to capture it the last month and half and finally managed it. There's quite a lot of air traffic (planes and helicopters) here in prague - písnice, but most of the helicopters have poor sound. It is bell 407 helicopter ok-alb in black/beige color operated by blue sky service (http://www. Ok-alb. Com/). Flight mode-s code a37a9ea. First it approaches with the deep harmonic sound, then it flies by overhead with a more noisy mid-spectrum sound. Recorded on zoom h4nsp, this time with 4gb sd card which has far lower startup time than 32 gb one (like 12 secs compared to more than a minute). Besides the helicopter itself there are some birds singing, insects buzzing and some rumble from the wind (i didn't manage attach the deadcat windshield so quickly). Basic frequency: ~ 33. 87 hz. Original filename: 160703-000. Wav.

Just a quick recording before class today. Recorded from a tascam dr-07 mk ii stereo in mp3 192 kbps 48,000 hz, pointed a bit to the sky toward a florida mockingbird about 2 meters away. If you listen closely enough, there's some crows in the bg too. Ambiance sound is the sound of a busy divided highway about 500 meters away. I processed this sound in sony sound forge a bit to remove some of it. Just beware, the sound file contains a slight camera double beep at 9 and 15 seconds, although for student film purposes i don't see any penalty for it. There's also some slight wind noise in the beginning since my clean foot sock didn't cover all of it, but same mind set as above, won't be too big a deal. Here's a video. Http://www. Youtube. English spring #gm0017 is the latest free sample pack from gowler music. Recorded in the month of april in the northern english country side, this sample pack features over one hour of ambient nature sounds including bird calls, wind and the occasional airplane overhead. Rather than cutting the raw files into shorter minute-long samples, we’ve decided to leave these samples ‘as is’ to give people more creative control of the content. With only a slight eq tweak and some channel boosting, these samples have been left relatively untouched to give a more realistic, true sound. Perfect for any music producer of film maker looking for real ambient nature sound effects, english spring #gm0017 can be downloaded for free now. Https://gowlermusic. I made this recording of ambient backgroud noise directly beneath the eiffel tower. The shape of the eiffel tower creates a unique acoustic environment in the vicinity of the tower, especially beneath it. You can hear a much higher level of background noise than you would hear in an open area, and the noise is unusual. The tower is made of thin pieces of iron arranged into a complex and very large lattice, which reflects and slices and dices sound in a unique way. Thus you have a high level of very even and unidentifiable background noise as noises from the ground and the platform get bounced around and distorted by the structure of the tower. This recording was made from the ground, with microphones pointed straight upwards about 2 meters off the ground. Noises from the ground travel upwards and bounce around the inside of the tower, then drift back down. There are noises in the tower itself as well, such as elevator motors and people on the platforms. The first platform, at 57 meters, is open in the center, whereas the second platform, at 116 meters, is completely closed and flat on the bottom. Wind moving through the tower also makes noise, and again the open structure of the tower changes the noise in a way that is specific to the eiffel tower. There wasn't much wind at ground level for this recording, but i don't know what the wind speed was at higher levels in the tower. Some voices in multiple languages are audible in the recording, as the area beneath the tower is awash in tourists. Recorded hand-held with a zoom h4n and a mini windjammer, using built-in mics, in stereo 96 khz / 24 bits, then converted to mp3 at 320 kbps because of the size of the file. Duration is about two minutes.

Any thursday. . . It was about 1:00 am and i got my handy recorder zoom h4n with me. Then i realized i found very few sounds here at freesound. Org of steps for videogames. . . So i decided to record some. They have "so much personality", with keys in the pockets (you can notice them on the run), a dog barking when i run, and the sound of the street at night. It may not be 100% clean (for example, wind affects a little to the beggining of the run), but i think it's enough to emulate a videogame in a short film or something. I turn around once when dog is barking, you can notice the bark panning from left to right channel.

Tiny waves lapping the quartzite pebbles (1-2cm diameter) on a beach at lake pedder. Recorded 21 march 2019, 3am, with marantz pmd661 and rode nt55. Exceptionally quiet night, no wind, no other sounds. The gordon river power station was 20 kms distant. Other mechanical equipment or vehicles greater then 50 kms. I could just perceive the electrical hum from the station (or from transmission lines), and so could my partner, but i can’t hear it on the recording. At 1. 30 on the recording you can hear my partner’s soft cough coming from our tent 50m away. The crackles that sound like static come from the quartzite pebbles as they are moved around by the tiny waves. See also "tiny waves lapping #2".

An ambient, white noise wall of sound recorded as i walked through our well ventilated university print shop. You can hear a variety of machine noises that layer to create a constant hum, with a swelling rise and fall like occasional waves. Some of the vents whistle, some tick or click and purr. Near the very end, there is a single sharp click. The ventilation system is an anti-fume tube series used for printmaking. Recorded on a microtrack ii. General information: recorded indoors on handheld microtrack while walking from room to room. No noticeable footstep sounds. No voices. Room has high ceilings and cement floors.
